This piece was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Without the labor of the writers and actors currently on strike, the series being covered here wouldn’t exist.

We’ve got a trailer for Chucky! While an earlier teaser had Chucky at a press conference saying that he had no idea who Devon Sawa is despite the fact the actor had played three different roles in the show’s first two seasons, this clip reveals that Sawa is not only back, but playing the President of the United States.

That’s right! Chucky is heading to the Oval Office in season three. And as the byline for the season hints at, every kill counts.

Here’s the newly released official synopsis for season three:

In Chucky’s unending thirst for power, season three now sees Chucky ensconced with the most powerful family in the world—America’s First Family, inside the infamous walls of the White House. How did Chucky wind up here? What in God’s name does he want? And how can Jake, Devon, and Lexy possibly get to Chucky inside the world’s most secure house, all while balancing the pressures of romantic relationships and growing up? Meanwhile, Tiffany faces a looming crisis of her own as the police close in on her for “Jennifer Tilly’s” murderous rampage last season.

Is there anywhere that demonic doll can’t murder? God bless America.

Chucky‘s third season premieres on October 4, 2023 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on SYFY and USA, with the episode available to stream the next day on Peacock. New episodes will air on subsequent Wednesdays at the same time.
